Similar to various social media platforms, users at auost can submit relevant documents via platform for verification.

Ideally, 6-10 months before you want to leave the country. 

Language skill requirements differ from country to country. Generally, aupairs are required to have a basic level of the national language of the country where they would like to work as an aupair. 

Some typical tasks for Aupairs are: 

  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Doing the children's washing and putting it away
  • Making the children's beds
  • Tidying the children's rooms
  • Doing a little bit of shopping
  • Looking after pets for children
  • Emptying the rubbish
  • Preparing snacks or meals for children
  • Going to activities with children

Communication is key, discuss expectations and requirements in advance.

Duration for an Official Au Pair varies and stays between 3 to 12 months are possible. Au-pair work outside of the official program may have shorter duration e.g. a Family may seek someone for 1-2 months.

Working hours vary based on host family and host country. Working hours from 15 to 40 hours per week are typical. Contact your host family or check the embassy of your host family to get specific information.

An au pair is a young person from a foreign country who lives with a host family to assist with childcare and light household tasks.

1. Age: Typically, between 18 and 26 years old. Other countries may permit being an Au-pair up to 30 through some special program that the have.

2. Visa: Some countries may require a specific aupair visa. 
   
3. Language skills: Some countries require basic knowledge of the host country.
   
4. Childcare experience: Some countries require having some experience working with children, such as babysitting or volunteering.
   
5. Health insurance: Aupairs are typically required to have health insurance coverage for the duration of their stay.
   
6. Background check: Some countries require aupairs to undergo a background check.
   
7. Education: Some countries may require aupairs to have a high school diploma or equivalent education level.

3. Housing: Host families must provide a private room and access to shared facilities like the kitchen and bathroom.

4. Meals: Host families are typically responsible for providing the aupair with meals or a food stipend to cover such costs.

5. Transportation: Host families may need to provide transportation or access to public transportation.

6. Language: In some countries, host families must provide access to a langauge course.

Requirements vary per host country.

The amount of pocket money varies in every country but ranges usually between 250 and 450 Euro.

Depending on the country, au pairs get 1-2 full days off minimum a week. Once a month, a complete weekend.

Depending on the host country regulations, au-pairs may have 2 to 4 weeks vacation yearly. 

Working hours differ between countries and host families. But are typically 20 and 40 hours a week. 

It is recommended that au pair insurance includes travel, health, liability and travel accident insurance. Depending on the host country, the costs of the au pair's insurance are covered either by the au pair or by the host family.

Aupairs normally pay for language courses themselves. Some countries such as Germany stipulate that hostfamilies must contribute a sum towards language course and also transportation to language course.

The travel costs to the host family are usually covered by the Aupair. In some cases, the host family may offer to cover all or part of the travel costs e.g. when using an Agency or if auost family lives in a country with this requirement.

Host families are not obligated to pay for visa fee but some families may offer to reimburse it.  Host family pays for shipment of documents to Aupair for visa processing.

Auost emphasizes trust and safety with verified/checked profiles. Though is not mandatory and users are encouraged regularly to get verified.

Auost provides all new registered Au-pairs and Host families with a 1 WEEK FREE ULTRA PLAN UPGRADE. This provides users with the abilty to test the many of the plartform features and resources without having to provide any form of payment or signing any paymnet agreement in advance. After the free Trial has expired, users are downgraded to an Auost standard profile.

Auost is not an Au-pair Agency and does not directly provide Au-pair placements. Rather Auost provides Au-pairs and Host Families with a platform where they can connect directly.

At Auost, the Premium, Ultra, and Exclusive plans offer enhanced features designed to help both au pairs and host families connect more quickly, safely, and successfully, with ongoing support throughout the entire journey. All of these services and resources require constant updates, and quality control — and therefore cannot be sustainably offered completely for free.

Yes. You can access the Block User feature from the dashboard area and to report a user that violates Auost's AGB and policy.
